The Class of 2026 Induction Ceremony will take place on Saturday, July 18th 6:00 PM at the Lubbock Memorial Civic Center banquet hall.

1953 Dunbar State Championship Basketball Team
The 1953 Dunbar High School Basketball Team won the Texas state basketball championship in 1953. This was the first of four state titles for Dunbar’s teams under Coach Ernest Mallory. The team went 23-2 during the season. Team members included Richard Mason, O.D. Gary, R.T. Horton, John Milus, Louis Walton, Bill Dedrick, Johnny Goff, Alvin Johnson, Curtis Gibson and J.P. Smith.
